National park · reefs
Ras Mohammed
Egypt’s first protected park (1983), which has grown from 97 to 480 km². Abundant, colourful marine life at Shark & Yolanda Reef, Jack Fish Alley and Shark Observatory. One of the best areas of the northern Red Sea.
Cave · canyon · reef
Dahab
The Blue Hole, the most famous underwater sinkhole in the Red Sea; The Canyon, a crack with vertical walls and incredible plays of light; and Gabr El Bint, a reef with abundant life that we dive at night.
Reefs
Strait of Tiran
Jackson Reef, with spectacular, very photogenic coral walls; Wood House, with coral gardens and turtles; and Gordon Reef, with a great variety of fish.
Wrecks · ship graveyard
Abu Nuhas
The reef that has sunk more ships than any other in the Red Sea, with several wrecks a few minutes apart:
  • Giannis D (about 28 m): a Greek cargo ship that sank in 1983 after hitting the reef, very well preserved. Turtles and colourful fish.
  • Carnatic (about 30 m): a steamship that sank in 1869, with remains of its pottery cargo. Tuna and groupers.
  • Yellow Reef: a reef of living corals full of life.
Reef · Hurghada
Sha'ab El Erg (Dolphin House)
A large horseshoe-shaped reef north of Hurghada, with coral gardens. Famous because dolphins are often around.

Fauna: Turtles at Wood House, corals and tropical fish all along the route.
